Wildlife Comes to You

Bring the wonders of our world to your backyard!

A Zoo keeper/educator presents this educational outreach program, which is designed specifically for groups and events other than schools. We will travel to festivals, birthday parties, nursing homes, libraries, Scouting events, and much more.

Presenters will bring four Zoo animal ambassadors to your event. The animals could include a reptile, bird, mammal and/or an insect. Since there are several factors to consider, we are unable to tell you exactly which animals will come to your program. Each program lasts 45 minutes to one hour. The presenter will take one animal out at a time, talk about it and then answer questions.

Program Setup

We look forward to scheduling an event with you. In order to present a great program we ask you please keep the following in mind:

  1. Zoo animals MUST NOT be near or mixed with non-Zoo animals.
  2. There must be a staging area around the animals where the public is NOT PERMITTED. This area must be cool and well ventilated.
  3. Our animals require complete privacy while they are in their crates. Whether in or out of their crates disruptive behavior & excessive noise is unacceptable in their area. This includes (but not limited to) machinery, loud music, and crowd conduct.
  4. Appropriate shade and shelter must be available. Animals cannot be in direct sunlight.
  5. Outdoor programs will be presented only if weather conditions permit, an indoor location should be set aside in case of inclement weather.
  6. The Presenter will need a parking space close to the presentation site.
  7. Presenters have the authority to cancel or stop a program if they feel the animals' welfare is jeopardized.
  8. Group behavior is not the responsibility of the Presenter.
