Visit the Zoo

Where the World is your Classroom!

The Zoo is the only place to meet over 500 animal and 3,000 plant species. The Zoo is internationally known for its success in the protection and propagation of endangered animals and plants, and engages in research and conservation projects worldwide!  

Field trips to the Zoo are available year round every day of the week. Admission is only $5 per student and all required chaperones are free. Register Online or call 513-559-7767 to sign up today.  

Meet ACADEMIC STANDARDS and have fun by choosing from the following exciting opportunities just for schools:

• Adventure Pass Program- Embark on an exciting adventure through the Zoo by completing missions and investigating the living environment through inquiry.  No extra charge with admission.
• Animal Demonstrations- Meet and touch live animals! Sharpen sensory and observation skills during these exciting animal programs. No extra charge with admission.
• The Wild Pack- Rent these easy-to-use mobile investigation stations filled with super cool gear to help your students participate in scientific inquiry. Only $10 per 10 students.
• School Events- Choose from three special school events offered in the spring and fall: Wildlife Discovery Days, International Migratory Bird Days, and Zoo Math Days. No extra charge with admission.
• CREW- Learn more about the Zoo's research facility and exciting conservation projects.
• Self-Guided Activities- Check out these fun and educational self- guided tours, keeper talks and more. No extra charge with admission.
• Teacher Resources- Find out more about what’s available for teachers and students at the Zoo. Teachers are invited to a free pre-visit to the Zoo.

The Zoo Comes to You

Although there is nothing like a visit to the Zoo, traveling programs are available. Bring the wild wonders of the world to you, during the following traveling animal programs:

• Frisch's Outreach- Experience live animal encounters in the classroom and choose from a variety of standards based topics. $30 per classroom.
• Cat Ambassador Program- Discover wild cats up close and learn about cat adaptations and conservation during this classroom or assembly program. $300 per program.
• Great American Wings of Wonder Bird Show- Learn and laugh during this classroom or assembly program focused on bird behavior, adaptations and habitat requirements. Starts at $100 per program.
• Wildlife Comes to You- For festivals, birthday parties, nursing homes, libraries, scouting events, and much more the Zoo will bring the wonders of the world to your backyard. Starts at $200 per program.
