Nocturnal Adventure Family Nights

Spend the night at the wildest place in town!

Join the Zoo's overnight program, Nocturnal Adventures, for special events designed for parents and children, age 5 and up. During the evening, you will tour buildings, experience live animal encounters and engage in other exciting activities. Awake to peacock and gibbon calls, have breakfast, and then tour the Zoo with your guide until 9am. Choose from Animal Adaptations or Sleep with the Manatees.

Where do Family Nights take place?

Camp Out participants will sleep outside near the Education Center.
Sleep with the Manatees participants sleep in the Manatees Springs building.
Most other family overnights sleep in the Harold C. Schott Education Center.

WILD WINTER NIGHTS	Have a wild time during these long winter nights and sleep over at the Zoo! Have you ever wondered where animals spend the winter months? Or where animals get their food when the ground is covered with snow? Your family will explore the physical and behavioral characteristics of animal in the winter as you discover the meaning of adaptation. Play games, tour buildings meet some of our animal ambassadors, and even go behind the scenes. We hope you'll den up at the Zoo for a Wild Winter Night! Register Online	Jan. 9, Feb. 20, or March 13: 6pm- 9am
FAMILY CAMP OUT	During your Camp Out overnight, we will prowl the Zoo for night creatures, cats, and crawlies. This program focuses on behavior and physical adaptations of animals, especially nocturnal animals. Come play games, meet, and even touch some of our animal ambassadors, sneak a peek behind the scenes, and curl up in your sleeping bag while we sleep outside! Bring your own tent and sleeping bag. FAMILY SLEEP WITHT THE MANATEES	Help welcome our new resident manatees to the Zoo! During this overnight, you will enjoy two sneak peeks behind the scenes, play games, and fall asleep to manatees swimming at your feet. Register Online	April 17, May, or May 15: 6pm-9am
