  Vanishing Giants

Vanishing Giants includes naturalistic habitat displays of the east African savannah/thornbush of the Masai giraffes, the African tropical rain forest of the okapi and the tropical forests of the Asian elephants. In the tropical forest habitats numerous varieties of trees, shrubs and bamboo are planted to simulate the tremendous diversity of these habitats. In the African savannah grassland an extensive variety of attractive grasses are grown. Other plants used to simulate the thornbush/savannah include cassia, vitex, mimosa trees and many other species.
